Forgetfulness is one of the most common one and early signs of ADHD. People suffering from this disorder tend to be very forgetful of even the most common activities of the day. At most times, they may forget they chores they were supposed to do. Such people often forget where they put things and even lose them easily. Children with this disorder often lose their items for example toys.
Another symptom that occurs frequently is inability to pay attention. The person is easily distracted by small things and activities happening around and will not be keen to detail. Therefore, they lose interest and cannot pay attention to people talking for a long period of time. Children would make careless mistakes in their school work and those working make careless mistakes at work. This reduces one’s ability and speed of learning. One is often known for disorganization in his or her work and of doing things and often termed careless.
One common sign is also hyperactivity. Such people are always too active. They seem to be restless and cannot be at one place for quite some time. Such children will look very playful to and even move around aimlessly. Such children would not prefer bullying quiet games and would be had for them to do quiet tasks. Such people are always frequently fidgeting and cannot sit still.
People suffering from ADHD tend to be very impulsive. This suggests that they can act quickly and often times without thinking. If you react in a negative manner, this may be very dangerous and even have serious consequences. This affects one’s ability to make sober decisions and react appropriately when faced with situations.
Common in people with ADHD is emotional instability. Their emotions instantaneously change and variety. Managing anger would become a problem and one would inappropriately throw tantrums. They therefore find it difficult to put their emotions under control. It therefore becomes really difficult to deal with such people especially if you do not understand them.
